At What Age Is It Okay To Accept And Live With Aches And Pains?

I say, maybe… 90! I realize that the body does “age”. That is a scientific fact and I won’t argue with that, BUT…

In many cases, what are now considered common aches and pains can be corrected!

Lorene – age 72 – came to see me with hip and low back pain as her primary concerns. She did not mention knee pain on her first visit.

When she came in for her second visit a week later her first comment was that there was not much change and she really wasn’t sure if she wanted to even come back.

Then, at some point during her second treatment she mentioned that she had realized that going up and down the steps was easier and she did not have to do both feet on each step.

By visit 3 she had noticed improvement in the low back and hip and no pain in the knee going up and down the steps.

She came in for another visit a couple weeks later to “keep everything feeling great” before going on a winter vacation.

She said her hip was a little sore on occasion but had spent a lot of time standing the day before and did not end up as sore as she had expected to be (I hear this a lot!).

She also mentioned that she had been sleeping more soundly – A common positive “side-effect”!

Your Body Is YOUR Vehicle… How is Your Ride??

Unfortunately, more and more people are accepting things like knee, hip and back pain (or even joint replacement) as “part of life” or something they will just have to live with. Limited rotation of the head/neck has become another accepted issue. Looking over your shoulder while driving tends to become more difficult as we age, but this too, can, and has been corrected!

A scary thing that I see is that younger and younger clients are telling me that they “are just getting old”! Is this just becoming an excuse? Or, are we being led to believe that pain meds are the only relief until it becomes bad enough for surgery?

The great news is…

I have seen correction of these issues in a large number of clients! And, I mean correction. Not just feeling better for a few days, or treating symptoms. This is long lasting, and has even helped clients avoid surgery! This treatment method is quick and effective!

NancySNancy – age 78 – came to me initially for a pain in her foot on which her doctor wanted to do surgery.

After talking with her about the work I do, both her and her husband agreed that it was worth a try if it could possibly help her avoid surgery.

I did only ONE treatment on her that included work on her foot and she has not had pain in that foot for 5 months!

She says “I’m thrilled to not have any surgery”!

Technology has made many things in our lives quick and easy. There has also been a breakthrough in soft tissue work over 60 years ago that makes correction much quicker and easier than a lot of common methods.

I have been working with a couple of soft-tissue body work methods that originated in Australia by a couple of amazing men (Tom Bowen and Ross Emmett) who found the way to make pain relief and overall health care (in many cases) seem just as quick. This is not a magic or “foo-foo” method. It is logical and actually quite scientific and has proven effective time and time again – not just for me but for therapist around the world.

We followed up with a second session a week later. The pain and restricted movement was less and corrected very easily once again.
